I'd like to speak on about how I've learned French. I started to study French at high school, I was 16, and before that, when I knew I was going to start learning in September, I spent my summer on preparing for this. I found TV channels playing French music. That was my dog :) So, French music. Not only, there were also some other languages, but mostly songs in French. So, I started to listen to them and sing later on:) One channel's name was 123SAT, I'm not sure if it still exists. I think it wasn't French, maybe from Morocco, maybe from Algieria or Tunisia,

I don't know, maybe from Maghreb. But there were many French videoclips popular at this time. Then, I found channels Arte and TV5Monde, and on TV5Monde there was a quiz show "Tout le monde veut prendre sa place" hosted by Nagui. In this show they asked many questions about music as far as I remember. It was helpful for learning but I also found this show a bit annoying as it was superficial- all the faces. laughs, behaviours of everybody. One can say- TV magic. These are my animals again, my cat and my dog (bitch). Sorry, for a moment.

I couldn't pronounce French words. I have always wondered how to read an X at the end of a word. For instance, whenever I was watching films with Louis de Funes, I really love the Gendarme series- ("d'un Gendarme hors serie')- but there was also another film. The first film with de Funes that I've ever watched, which was "La soupe aux choux". There are two words that end like that and I had no idea how to pronounce them or rather, that they shouldn't be pronounced at all.
So, I started learning French that September. I was one of the best students but I somehow couldn't get used to this language, to me it seemed more difficult

than English or German. It went better with time. I took part in language competitions in my sophomore and final year. Then, after my finals. I continued to learn French by myself and I also had privste tutoring classes with my cousin- a French teacher and French philology graduate. Several years after my finals, I could read French books, like "The Miser" written by Moliere.
I went to France in 2019 for the first time, I visited Provence and the French Riviera. And I took this very book with me, "The Miser" by Moliere. Also, I remember that the first day there I met a French man.

And we started talking. He was the one talking, I was the one listening :) Of course, I tried to speak, but it was more like 'uuuh, err...' coming out of my mouth. But we continued talking together and after 4 days I was able to discuss literature with him as well as compare French and Polish education systems. There was also some small talk, of course. I made a recording about Easter in France as this was happening in April. My French wasn't that good in there, but I tried nevertheless.
And now I try to have something to do with French from time to time, and I would like to visit France again. And, also, I got this ring from a lady that I met duting my stay in France.
So, thank you for your attention and maybe see you next time!
